New Year, New Email Service for Hawkeye Telephone Company
At Hawkeye Telephone Company, we strive to provide our customers with the best technology possible through the best partnerships available and relevant new services. As a result, we will be changing email systems during the first half of 2020. This will require a new email address for any customers currently using the netins.net email. We don’t have an exact date for the conversion yet, but it will happen within the next few months. Keep an eye on your monthly bills, check our website, or call the office for updates as we get closer.
With this change, you have some options. If you want to keep an email account with our new system, simply let our office know. This opens the opportunity for new usernames, but you may keep your old one if you prefer. If you decide to keep your old username, your email address will change from username@netins.net to username@hawkeyetelephone.net. If you would like to retain your current netins.net email address, you may, but there will be an additional monthly fee.
If you decide that it’s time for a change, we understand. We realize there are other options to explore, such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, and others. No problem—just let us know you plan to switch, and we’ll remove any emails from your old account. They will no longer be available after the conversion.

Hawkeye Telephone Company is going Solar!
In keeping with our goal of using the latest technology to move our communities into the future, Hawkeye Telephone Company is working with CB Solar Inc. to build a 33KW Solar array on top of the telephone building in Hawkeye, Iowa. When complete this system could replace up to 60% of our energy use. A “state of the art” solar system to power a “state of the art” fiber network!
